Rock Band Journey's "Eclipse" Album debut at #4 on the Billboard Rock Album Charts. Jonathan Cain (Keyboardist from Journey), Chris Huston (Engineer for Led Zeppelin, The Who) and Kalmusky have designed a new Nashville studio, "Addiction Sound" - Which will house 2 control rooms for Kalmusky and Cain. The 52 Ch Trident TSM console from San Francisco's "The Plant" Studio B room, which Aretha Franklin, Doobie Brothers, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Wonder, Prince, and a TON of others recorded on, will be only 1 of MANY pieces of gear, with a serious legacy. All this history, starting something brand new in Nashville.

Rascall Flatts song "Play", performed this year on Letterman, and potentially slated as the band's next single. Was demo'd in the basement Studio at Universal, by one of the writers (Hunter Hayes) and David Kalmusky. Journey has sold over 75 million records, have their Star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. They've been on South Park, Family Guy, Glee, The Soprano's and in countless movies. The band have recently enlisted the help of David Kalmusky, in the creation of their 14th Studio Album, due out in Spring of 2011 - They are currently (As of Late September) in David's Nashville Studio working with David, recording vocals for this new Journey Record.

Marlee Scott was nominated for Independent Female Artist of the year, at the CCMA Awards this month, and performed her radio hit "Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow", which was produced by David Kalmusky, On the show. Both "Road Hammers II" and Emerson Drive's "Believe" are nominated for a Juno Award this year. Davids work, in the past on the 1st Road Hammer record, Won the Juno, and sold Platinum. James Otto, The Mavericks, Emerson Drive, and many others, have these hand made, point to point custom amps on their stage, and in the studio. Rick Hayes, and David Kalmusky have colaborated on a new Studio Amp, that when described to guitar players, so far, has been met with the response "Just build me one". Sight unseen. Thursday September 3rd The Titans v.s The Packers Footbal Game, broadcast around the world on ABC, will start with the song "One Light Town" off the forthcoming Motion Picture Ending album "Clarity In A World Of Chaos". This song, and Album, was Produced, mixed, and mastered by David Kalmusky.

On the CMT Top 20 chart the 3rd week of May - "You Heal Me" by The Wilkinsons, peaked at Number 8. This top 10 hit was not only Produced, Mixed, and Mastered by David Kalmusky, He played, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Mandolin And Dobro on the track. The Wilkinsons are gearing up to release the next single - "Your Car" - keep an ear out for it at Radio, and an eye, for the video on CMT.

Keep an eye out for this rock band, their debut album produced by David and the band, is being mixed and mastered by David throughout January and February. Front man Tyler Wilkinson, was nominated for 2 Grammy Awards, before he finished highschool, as part of "The Wilkinsons". This project is already receiving the kind of industry attention, that will bring this band the same kind of accolades.

Emerson Drive and Producer Josh Leo came up to Canada, to do some work with David on the New Album. David was also recently in the studio with The Road Hammers, before the holidays, working on the forthcoming album "The Road Hammers II" due for release in February 2009.

Midas Nashville released Emerson Drive's "Countrified" album a few short months ago. The singles released have already been charting top on 30 USA radio, top 10 on canadian radio, with videos featured on CMT Nashville, as well as Top 10 on CMT Canada.
This Record has now been nominated for "Country Recording Of The Year", and the Band has recierved an ACM nomination for "Group Of the year" (David was an Engineer on this project)

David and Chris handed this record, in to the Label just a few short weeks ago. The first single and video "Dixie Beauxderaunt" is in the Chevy top 20 this week, at #4, Above Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, and Faith Hill.

David was in the studio earlier this year, working with the Emerson Drive guys on their record. It has officially been released by Midas Records Nashville, and the debut single "Lucky Man" is already #1 on CMT Canada.

David will be on Tour with Amanda Wilkinson, headlining shows across Canada, and doing shows with Big & Rich, Allan Jackson, Trick Pony, and others. David is also finishing overdubs, and BG vocals on the Chris Cummings Record, which is slated to be mixed for the top of August.

Not 2 months since the record was announced Gold, now a Juno Award!!! The Road Hammers Have really taken off, with Top 10 singles, and videos, for every release off this record. They're headlining on tour all summer, as well as doing shows with Nickelback, and Kenny Chesney.

I Just spoke with David, and he tells me that he'll be touring this summer as guitarist for the Grammy nominated band "The Wilkinsons" and will also be doing Amanda Wilkinson's Solo tour dates. Chris Cummings was the youngest artist signed directly to Warner Bros. Nashville, over a decade ago. In that decade, he has been nominated for 4 Juno Awards, recieved a Canadian Country Music Award for Wrangler Rising Star, multiple nominations for Canadian Country Music Award for Male Vocalist of the Year and was awarded the RPM Big Country Music Award for Outstanding New Artist.
Chris Cummings Greatest Hits on Warner Music Canada Was released last year, David will produce the new record, set for release in Fall 2006 on Chris's new Label Koch.

Nearly 2 years in production, Pam Gerrand's album "Pray Rain" is released. Featuring Matt Brubeck (Cello for Cherryl Crow / Tom Wait / Jewel), Steve O'Connor (Piano / Bruce Coburn), Steve Hogg (Bass / Ian Thomas) Jay Riehl (Drums / Farmers Daughter), Jim Boudreau (Drums - Chuck Berry / David Foster) Is definately the widest display of David's abillities as a producer, and arranger.
World Beat tracks, Big Band Swing horn arrangements, electronica programming, acoustic ambient recording, this record is an incredible, eclectic showcase, of Pam Gerrand's writing, and David's Production. The title track "Pray Rain" ends with the last Thunderstorm Kenny Kalmusky (David's father) Recorded (He used to record many of the thunderstorms that passed over his house), before passing away.

David is in the studio, working on The Road Hammers forth comming record, Dayna Manning's Forthcomming record "Folkyo", Pam Gerrand's Foerthcomming record "Pray Rain" - I just spoke to him today, as he was in the studio with Matt Brubeck (Cello / Cheryl Crow) recording string parts on Pam's record - (due for release in the Fall) he informs me that he will still be going on the road this summer, doing dates with The Road Hammers, The Wilkinsons, and Jason McCoy, despite his hectic studio schedule.

David is still extensively on tour with Jason McCoy. Any time off from the road, is spent in the studio, writing, demoing, and developing material with Giselle (From David Foster's Girl Trio "Lace"), Tara Lyn Hart, and Danni O'Neill.

David is in the studio with The Daughters (Formerly Farmer's Daughter), Touring with Jason McCoy, mixing 3 projects, working on 2 films, and producing publishing demos for BMG Canada, Balmur Entertainment, and writing / developing material with several artists. (David's been incredibly busy, and out of touch with me, and this site. I'll Update, when I get all of the specific information on the noted projects)

David mastered, and contributed a rare master tape from his father, Kenny Kalmusky's archive, the tape is from 1958, and was Richard Manual's, (from "The Band") first recording with his first band "The Revols" It will be part of a massive box set entitled "Levon and The Hawks"
and will be distributed by Capitol Records later this summer.
